Arrived Manchester Airport courtesy of Geo M Airport Transfers…bless.
Boarded the plane – unfortunately, Mrs M’s asthma was playing up, and her coughing attracted a lot of “corona stares”. Within 5 mins of boarding, the stewardess had her in face mask isolation “for your cough madam”.
Anyway, after a smooth Singapore Airlines flight, landed Changi 7.30 local.
Airport virtually empty apparently because the number of Chinese travellers has dropped dramatically. Breezed through immigration. Luggage 3rd and 4th off the carousel, taxi man with “Mr and Mrs Martin” waiting in Arrivals, arranged by our good friends Mr and Mrs R, with whome we will be staying.
Always a fleet of tankers hanging around the Straits as you come in to land at Singapore.
Waiting for Mr taxi
Approx 50 mins transfer to Johor of Bahru. Horrendous queues going into Singapore from Malaysia, and 100’s of poorly paid workers on mopeds/motorbikes going home after night shifts. (Approximately 70,000 a day).
